Fannin County Adult Probation supervises adults who have been placed on community supervision (probation) for committing misdemeanor and felony offenses. Fannin County Adult Probation envisions effectively rehabilitating offenders in a way that revolutionizes supervision and creates a much safer community.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Fannin County Adult Probation Department is to provide innovative alternatives to the Courts that will rehabilitate offenders while protecting the community.
 

Utilizing a comprehensive community-based corrections program stressing needs assessment, basic supervision, and referral to local resources for special needs, our goal is to hold offenders accountable while seeking to effect a positive change in their behavior.
 

Reducing the risk of allowing offenders to serve their sentences in the community is accomplished through pre-sentence investigations/reports, supervision planning, urinalysis, and investigation of violations.  Offering a continuum of sanctions for the Court is designed to divert violators from jail and prison.
